Mission Statement

It is our mission to create a friendly central hub for locals and travelers alike where everyone is welcome to meet and converse over a good meal, cocktail, cappuccino or partake in some of our evening activities and events. Everyone is welcome at Vineyard Bar & Grill.

Business Products or Services

Vineyard Bar and Grill currently offers lunch and dinner services in both the front restaurant and back bar. The front restaurant holds a small wine/cappuccino bar with lunch and dinner service, pastries, and specialty cocktails. The “Back Bar” offers two pool tables as well as a full-service bar and separate entrance with karaoke on Friday & Saturday night. Everyday Vineyard Bar & Grill offers a unique daily special or event curated for that specific day. The front restaurant allows minors until 10 pm. Minors are not allowed in the Back Bar.

Business Industry Standing

Vineyard Bar & Grill sets itself apart uniquely from other local eateries by offering a good variety of lunch, dinner, and snack items, craft cocktails and specialty coffee drinks. With early brunch on Saturday and Sunday beginning in the summer and later evening hours, Vineyard Bar and Grill is the central bug for locals and travelers alike.

Customer Engagement

As a new business in the area, we take comments and suggestions very seriously. During our first month in business, we listened to our locals, regular customers and “out of towners”. We adapted our business model accordingly to the local demographics and began allowing minors in the front restaurant before 10:00pm to accommodate a family audience. Then we revamped the menus to accommodate a more regular crowd and wider audience. Aside from our establishment, social media is another way we choose to engage with our customer base. We post daily on Facebook regarding our daily specials and events.

Misconceptions

For nearly twenty years “Vineyard Bar and Grill” was owned and operated by Daniel Yun and his wife Lydia. They ran “Vineyard Bar and Grill” in the back bar, but the front Restaurant was “Kori Ramen” offering Ramen and other Korean Specialties. Because the establishment had been purchased by a new owner the concept has changed dramatically. Currently, Vineyard Bar and Grill offers American fare in both the front restaurant as well as the back bar. Although Daniel, Lydia and his Ramen will be missed, he decided it was time to retire and hand over the torch so to speak. Vineyard Bar and Grill now serves Contemporary American Comfort Cuisine.

Name Origin Story

Note from the Owner/Cook:

In 2009 upon returning to Oregon after over a decade, Vineyard Bar and Grill was one of the first places I found myself wandering into. It was here I met the previous owner, Daniel Yun. He and I became friends. He had only purchased the business a few years previous. After learning that I had been a cook and chef out East he jokingly remarked that if I ever happened to purchase the business from him that I needed to keep the name. Not knowing that one day I would do exactly that, I made him the promise I would keep the name if I were ever to purchase the business from him. Years later, I kept my promise. -James Wallace

Starting Up Stories

There have been many struggles and hurdles while beginning our business venture. During this time both myself (James Wallace) and my business partner (Cece) Acacia Rogers have continued to learn and grow. We have continued to support each other during tough times and convinced each other to never give up. We are looking forward to what will become of Vineyard Bar and Grill.
