Dear Community Partner,
Each year, Newberg Grocery Outlet proudly participates in Independence From Hunger, a community-wide effort dedicated to fighting hunger right here in our community.
This year, all funds and food raised will directly benefit FISH Emergency Services and Bruin Community Pantry, helping local individuals and families facing food insecurity.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our customers and community partners, we raised over $10,000 in food and donations. This year, our goal is to exceed $20,000, and we are inviting local businesses, organizations, families, and community members to help make that happen.
There are several ways to participate:
- One-Day Match Challenge – Match customer donations for a specific day, with a contribution limit of your choosing.
- Campaign Match Challenge – Match donations throughout our five-week campaign, up to a maximum amount you determine.
- Direct Donation – Contribute any amount to support the campaign.
- Anonymous Donation – Support the cause without public recognition if preferred.
100% of all proceeds stay local. Every donation collected goes directly to FISH Emergency Services and the Bruin Community Pantry.
As a thank you, participating partners may be recognized through social media, in-store reader boards, exterior banners, bag stuffers, and other promotional opportunities. Tax-deductible acknowledgment letters will be provided by the participating 501(c)(3) organizations for qualifying contributions.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference for our neighbors in need and help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
Thank you for considering joining us in this important effort. We would be honored to partner with you in making this year’s Independence From Hunger campaign our most successful yet.
Sincerely,
John Elliot

“Last year our community raised over $10,000. This year, we’re working together to surpass $20,000—and every dollar stays right here in Newberg.”
