We mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ because we envision a world where Christian churches are united in purpose and fully engaged in actively living out their faith by lovingly serving people in need in their communities.

Through giving a hand up, not a handout, we help churches help people by developing a network of local churches and connecting them with opportunities to serve their neighbors in need. We have a layered program pathway that helps lead individuals from crisis to stability.
The Connection Center works closely with 25+ churches to provide essential services, known as GAP Ministries, that meet needs otherwise unmet in the community. The purpose of a Gap Ministry is to provide a resource or service to meet ongoing needs that are not currently being met by agencies, or government resources. Love INC helps churches “fill in the gap”. These services include clothing, non-food pantry items, bikes, linens, showers, firewood, kitchen items and many more. Our regular volunteers are the heart of the Connection Center, listening to people’s stories, providing practical assistance, offering financial guidance, and praying with clients, resulting in life-changing moments of peace and support.
The Hesed House, our Women’s Transitional Living Program, is a Christ-Centered program that aims to empower women to gain self-sufficiency and life transformation. We offer Bible Studies, Transformational Ministry Classes, Christian Mentors, Christian Counselors, and Case Management Services.
Transformational classes offer learning opportunities around an array of topics, from Bible studies, and life skills, to budgeting. These classes allow Love INC families to engage with a facilitator and other class members to grow mentally and spiritually.

We are often mistaken as an organization that only helps the homeless. While this is part of our client base, our larger demographic is those that are struggling to have their spiritual, emotional or practical needs met, are underemployed, or are simply looking to transform their life through relationship and stability.
Another misconception is that we only give physical resources to our clients. Love INC is about helping people improve their lives, not simply by meeting a need. Often, just meeting a physical need is simply sustaining a learned lifestyle of need. We believe in walking alongside individuals toward lasting change through meeting needs with dignity, hope, accountability and growth.

Love INC or Love In the Name of Christ – was established by the founder, Dr. Virgil Gulker, a Christian social worker, with the vision to mobilize local churches to serve people in need more effectively by working together in unity.
