NEWBERG EXHIBITION: Welcome to the Newberg Visitor Center Exhibit – PURPLE AFFECTS – Artists Using Purple; location is at the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce, 112 N Garfield #103, first floor. This is the third presentation for this 2025 Newberg exhibit program, which will highlight the visual arts by regional artists through individual and group shows.
The exhibit presents work by 18 Yamhill County artists – each who have used purple to some degree in their work. From bold royal purples to hints of lavender, through many styles and subjects, this selection will surprise and delight the viewer as artists demonstrate a wide variety of integrating ‘the color purple.’
The opening reception will be on Newberg’s First Friday, August 1st, 5-8 PM. The exhibition dates are July 2 through August 23. Many artists will be present for this event.
McMINNVILLE EXHIBITION: A following exhibition opportunity has come up, at the Narthex Gallery at the First Presbyterian Church; location:390 NE Second Streets, McMinnville Oregon, entry on corner of Davis and 1st. The Newberg exhibition pieces will be moved there on August 23-28 for the installation on Friday, August 29. I will contact you in August to see if you would like to extend your PURPLE artwork loan for this time; the Narthex Featured Exhibition will be September 2-30. Limited hours for public viewing are Monday thru Thursday, 10-5, although the exhibit can be enjoyed during all church activities.
Then we will transfer all the work to the Rose of 3rd Street ballroom, where we will be installing the AHST All Artist Exhibit. Artists can pick up work there on September 1,2,3,4 and AHST artists may then choose to display it in that exhibit.
