Our guests depart the property feeling relaxed, having experienced the VIP treatment, and becoming part of our family. Our biggest success stories is with out repeat guests, who create getaways just to come and spend time with us.

Misconceptions

A misconception we have come across is the lack of quality, or luxury expected. There is this incorrect perception that all Inns are old, with antique dark furniture, common bathrooms, and that they are a place to sleep have breakfast and go. When in reality there are so many of us that have modern, beautiful, private, luxurious properties. We believe that it’s our responsibility to educate the market, and prove that out type of Inn is nothing less than a luxury boutique hotel.

Name Origin Story

Established in 2014, The Setting is a collection of luxury wines & Inns created by three friends; Jeff Cova, Noah McMahon and winemaker Jesse Katz. The Setting Wines was the first part of the business to be created, and our brand is a culmination of relationships spanning decades from Napa to Sonoma County, and now Willamette Valley. We named it The Setting, because is the perfect setting to share with those you love.

Starting Up Stories

This past year in Willamette Valley has been an incredible experience for all of us involved, the community is the most wonderful community I’ve had the pleasure of being part of. As the GM it was my first time running a smaller operations property, I was convinced it would be a piece of cake, little did I know what winter had in store for me. The funniest story of all is having a Cuban GM from Miami shovelings snow off the driveway, and removing snow off of the guests cars with a tiny squeegee. At the end of the day my staff, the in house guests and I all went sledding down our hill, and it was a memory I’ll never forget.
