We are excited to announce that the second round of will be opening March 26^th, 2025! This round will consist of $15,000,000 in grant funding for infrastructure projects that further the wellbeing of children and families in Oregon.

The application will be posted and available on our webpage until the closing date, April 30^th, 2025. The updated Guidelines and new RFGA are currently being translated and will be posted in the coming weeks.

Eligible Project Types:

• Minor Renovations/Repairs ($20,000 – $100,000)

• New Construction or Major Renovation ($100,001 – $2,000,000)

• Real Property Acquisition ($20,000 – $2,000,000)

Note: We are no longer able to fund stand-alone planning projects, however, planning costs can be included in an application for construction or renovations/repairs 

This fund is open to more than just current child care providers – municipalities, school districts/ESDs, tribes, businesses/nonprofits, and colleges/universities are also encouraged to apply! In addition, we will have another $25 million round coming later this year.

CITY OF NEWBERG

Day cares within Newberg do not pay system development charges in the City of Newberg and the City has recently reduced parking requirements (1 per employee and 1 per 10 adults/children cared for). Day cares are also now a permitted use in light industrial zones (M-1 and M-2) that were previously a conditional use.
