Building relationships is fundamental to the growth and success of any business. A proven and effective way to build relationships with fellow chamber members is by holding a leadership position, serving on a chamber committee or attending a large variety of Chamber Events.

Programs & Events

Greeters is the largest professional business networking group in Yamhill County. Held on Fridays from 8 to 9am, members congregate at a different business location each week. There is no better way to meet potential business clients than through a chamber networking event like Greeters.

On the second Tuesday of each month a Chamber member hosts a 5 to 7pm Chamber After Hours gathering featuring wine, appetizers, music, door prizes and more. The social event is relaxing and enjoyable, offering an effective way to network and make connections to strengthen your business.

Leadership Chehalem Valley serves a vital role in developing tomorrow’s community leaders and volunteers. The leadership development class meets once per month and strives to develop informed civic-oriented leaders who are interested in helping shape and direct the future of the Chehalem Valley. Classes are limited to 20 participants with sessions starting annually each September.

A social and professional network of working businesswomen interested in enrichment and empowerment, and who enjoy surrounding themselves with like-minded individuals who seek continual knowledge, education, and development.

Chamber Committees

Monitors and takes positions on local and state legislative issues and is an advocate on behalf of chamber member businesses. Organizes candidate forums and provides other educational opportunities for members to stay informed.

The welcoming arm of the Chamber, the Ambassador program strengthens relationships with current members, and builds trust with new and prospective members. Representing the Chamber in and around the community, Ambassadors are essential to the health of the Chamber, and membership, by helping new members feel as sense of belonging and to integrate into the community.

Consisting of the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce Treasurer, a member of the Board of Directors, Chamber members and Chehalem Valley Chamber staff, this committee meets monthly to review all financial records of the Chamber, and provide oversight for financial matters.

Nominated by their peers and selected by an independent committee of business and community leaders, the annual community awards banquet celebrates Chehalem Valley’s finest businesses and citizens. The annual dinner is the largest community-wide banquet and is held in early winter each year.
