All shows start at 6:30pm and end around 8:30pm. Expect a brief intermission to give the bands a short break.

Concerts are held in the Cultural District in front of the Chehalem Cultural Center in the area labeled “Future Event Space” on the map below.
Parking for Tunes is available in business lots along Hancock Street, in the Water Wise Garden lot, and in the parking lots behind the Chehalem Cultural Center. Street parking is also available throughout the commercial area downtown.
To the right, see the blocked-off areas where parking is readily available. Howard and Sheridan Street will be closed for the duration of the shows, and for the hour leading up to and following the concert to allow for set up and tear down. All of our amazing Tunes vendors can be found on Sheridan and in the corridor in front of the cultural center. (See the large image below for reference.)

Please do not park in the historic residential neighborhood surrounding the Newberg Cultural District, as many of those homes have no off street parking. The influx of hundreds of cars into the neighborhood on Tuesday nights makes it difficult for residents as they arrive home from work and find themselves having to park blocks away and hike home with their groceries. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
If you’ve blocked any part of a private driveway or sidewalk, or parked in a no parking zone, your car may be ticketed and towed.
There are plenty of spaces on the lots on Hancock Street, all within 1-3 blocks of the event.

Q: Is there a cost for attending?
A: No, this is a FREE family-friendly concert series!
Q: How do you put this event on for free?
A: We get support from you and our local businesses. From the support of our vendors and sponsors, we are able to provide 5 weeks of amazing bands. Visit our vendors, partake in the delicious food and drinks, and enjoy the show!
Q: Where are the concerts held?
A: At the Chehalem Cultural Center campus forecourt, also referred to as the plaza. The Chehalem Cultural Center is located at 415 E Sheridan St, Newberg, OR 97132.

Q: Where can I park?
A: Please visit the details on our parking page to learn about the several options available.
Q: When do the gates open?
A: We’ll open the gates for the show at 5:30 PM. Bands will play from 6:30-8:30pm. Expect an intermission to give the band a chance to take a break as well. This is in accordance with our OLCC license.
Q: When do the concerts start? When do they end?
A: The show starts at 6:30 PM. Show will conclude around 8:30 PM. Expect an intermission to give the band a chance to take a break as well.
Q: Can I bring my dog(s)?
A: Leashed, well-behaved dogs are more than welcome to attend! Please clean up after your furry friends and keep them on leashes at all times. Be sure to bring a water bowl, as Oregon summers can be toasty. Also be mindful of the hot cement as sensitive paw pads can burn, and please do not leave dogs in hot cars.
Q: Can I bring lawn/camping chairs and blankets?
A: Of course! Please be conscientious of your concert mates and avoid umbrellas and enormous hats. If you forget your chair, we have some available to rent for the evening Event tent for just $1. Find the tent in the middle of the plaza near the Cultural Center doors.
Q: Can I bring in my own food and beverage?
A: Please feel free to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. Any alcoholic beverage must be discarded or returned to your vehicle before entering the gates. Due to OLCC regulations, outside alcohol is not permitted and will not be allowed to accompany you through the gates. Our helpful volunteers will be at each gate to help you determine if you have outside alcohol, should you have some questions. All large coolers and bags are subject to search to ensure we are OLCC compliant.
Need a drink or two after work? We have several local vendors offering a variety of food and beverage options. Please support them, as their contributions to TOT help us provide this free concert series to you!
Q: Can I drink an alcoholic beverage anywhere in the plaza?
A: Yes!
We have invested in fencing and our wonderful volunteers are donating their time to ensure we are operating within OLCC laws. (We care about this because without the OLCC’s approval, our vendors would not be able to sell alcohol! No one wants that.)
Q: Why do I need to show my ID to buy alcohol?
A: To enjoy a drink inside the plaza, we (and the OLCC) require that anyone over 21 years of age that would like to purchase an alcoholic beverage have their ID checked. To have your ID checked, please visit the ID check booth in the middle of the plaza.
If you appear to be under the age of 40, you will need to have your ID on your person. It will need to be presented to one of the Tunes Crew at the ID check tent. If you appear to be over 40 years of age, you will still need to visit the Tunes Crew at the ID check tent to receive your iconic teal wristband in order to purchase an alcoholic beverage from one of our vendors.
Please help us stay OLCC compliant so show-goers can continue to enjoy adult beverages!
Q: When can I buy a beer, mixed drink, or glass of wine from the vendors?
A: After you get your wristband from the ID tent, our vendors can sell you alcohol when our OLCC license is in effect. Alcohol sales begin at 5:30pm and end at 8:30pm. All adult beverages must be consumed on-site (within the Tunes fencing) and before 9:00pm.
Q: Can I smoke cigarettes, vape pens, or marijuana inside the plaza?
A: To respect all guests in attendance, there is no smoking permitted inside the plaza. Once you pass through the gates, please know that smoking of any kind is prohibited. Smoking is permitted outside at least 10 feet outside of the Tunes gates. Please dispose of your extinguished butts in the available trash cans.
Q: Who puts this event on?
A: This event is a joint project by the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce with the support of many other community partners. The group adopted Tunes on Tuesday in 2023, and we love having the opportunity to continue this awesome event here in Newberg. Thank you for your support!
