Tell us about your business: Kramer Vineyards is a second generation winery with over 30 years of wine growing experience. We specialize in small lot wines, including; sparkling wine, pinot gris, pinot noir and chardonnay.
We got into the wine business because my mom liked making wine at home. You can read about her passion for wine and how she got started in the wine business in our interview with Trudy here.
Being 2nd generation gives me so much drive and passion to carry on the legacy that they began and have worked so hard for all these years.
How does your business standout in the industry? We offer a wide variety of wines and are one of the few places with an extensive selection of sparkling wines–family owned and operated.
How has the community responded to your business? Many customers love that we are second generation and how well we can work together. We also get many compliments on how well our wines are made.
Are there any misconceptions about your business? The new tasters can be scared to explore wineries because there is a misconception that wine tasting is “sophisticated.” We strive to be welcoming and friendly to every guest who visits.
What challenges do you face? Working with family can be challenging. The Oregon wine industry has become diluted with more wineries which means we need to work harder to stand .
